Our Visit to the Firestation
On Wednesday 7th November 2012 Year 2 visited Portadown Fire Station. We were able to learn about fire safety and watched a video about the dangers of fire. We then got to sit in a real Fire Engine and try on the helmet. Our favourite part was getting to use the hose to try and soak the firemen! Next we went inside to learn about the uniform. The Firemen told us about how they have to get changed really quickly when there is a fire and why they need all the different parts of their uniform to keep them safe. We had a brilliant morning at the Fire Station. Have a look at our pictures!
