Today we had a special visit from Adam at Mini Professors! He taught us lots of fun facts about space! We had so much fun doing different experiments! We even made our own rockets, moon creators, aeroplanes and tasted astronaut food! Thank you Adam for a great morning!!
Numeracy: We made an outdoor clock to practice reading, writing and making o'clock and half past times in analogue and digital! Terrific time telling Year 2!⏰
BIG PURPLE PICNIC! Today, we thought about the feeling 'Lonliness' and completed some activities about how to stay calm and who to talk to when we are feeling lonely! We had so much fun having a purple picnic with our teddy bears, cushions and blankets! To top it all off, the ice-cream van arrived in our playground and we enjoyed a delicious whippy ice-cream with sprinkles!��
Literacy: We have been learning about Poetry in school this week! We worked together to create a fantastic poem about building a rocket. We made sure to include rhyming words. Listen to our excellent reciting of our poem! Well done Year 2!

Thank you for bringing 'Wee Critters' to our school! Allan the explorer showed us lots of 'Wee Critters' from the jungle! We really enjoyed seeing, touching and learning all about wee critter's to end our Animal and Mini-Beasts topic.
