Eco School 2025-2026
Our Eco Committee is made up of two pupils from each class in Years 4 to 7. We meet at least once a month to work on exciting projects as part of the Eco-Schools programme, which encourages children to become more environmentally aware and take action to protect our planet.
During our meetings, we share ideas and plan ways to make positive changes to our school environment. So far, we’ve proudly earned our Bronze, Silver, and Green Flag awards. We’re now working towards renewing our Green Flag status.
Previous Projects Have Included:
- Enhancing our school grounds
- Creating habitats to attract wildlife
- Promoting recycling across the school
- Reducing energy consumption
Current Focus: Global citizenship
Our latest project is all about Global citizenship. The Eco Committee, along with other pupils, will look into being aware of global issues like inequality, human rights, and climate change, and feeling a responsibility to contribute to positive change. We’re excited to put these ideas into action and will keep you updated on our progress and upcoming activities.
