Year 6

Today on World Book Day lots of us dressed up as different characters from our favourite books. We had Queens, Wallies, Mary Poppins, Dinosaurs, Mario, Storm Troopers, Batman and Batgirl, Alice In Wonderland, Ron Weasley, Captain America, a soldier and Greg Hefley. How could we forget our Gangsta Granny's???? We had a day full of literacy. We had a special assembly, comprehension, posters and a scavenger hunt!
This is our 4th session with Bocombra and Ballyoran. We are learning about money, budgeting, saving and planning how to use our money based on 'wants' and 'needs'.

Europe The Year 6's are learning about Europe. This is an excellent link to a website that has lots of information and educational games to further their knowledge.
In class we are studying The Cuckoo Child by Dick King-Smith. Today we got to see an ostrich egg. We loved it it was so smooth, shiny and beautiful. It holds the same as 22+ hens eggs! Wow!
