Friday 24th March | I can't quite believe I get to announce this again but for the fourth month in a row Year three have become the Mathletics class of the month! Keep it up Year 3! I am SO proud of how hard you are working!
Thursday 23rd March | Today we went to Peatlands Park with our friends from Bocombra. We had the BEST morning collecting things from the woodland area to make our nature collages. We finished the day with a play at the park. It was super!
Friday 10th March | Snow in Portadown can only mean one thing in Year 3... time to build a snowman!
Thursday 9th March | We finished our dictionary learning by creating our own dinosaur dictionaries. We know SO many dinosaur words now!
Friday 3rd March | During non-fiction reading week we had a special treat in Year 3 as each day we had some Year 6 pupils come in and read non-fiction books to us.
Thursday 2nd March | World Book Day 2023! We had some wonderful book characters in our classroom today. Our whole school had a superb assembly, parade and some fun in class world book day activities.
Monday 27th February | This month we are focusing on non fiction texts. We have begun our topic by looking at dictionaries. We started off by focusing on alphabetical order. We had items from our classroom in a box and we had to work as a team to sort the objects alphabetically as fast as we could. We then moved on to sorting words alphabetically. Finally we got the dictionaries out! Have a look at the different activities we have started with below.
