We are thoroughly enjoying our class novel, Private Peaceful, by Michael Morpurgo. Today we were learning to infer characters’ emotions and relationships in chapter 3. We created ‘Character Emotion Palettes’ and backed these up with quotes and explanations from the text 🦋

We have improved an extract from Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda’ by coming up with lots of synonyms for ‘said’.

We have been using our Top Trumps cards to read, order and write large numbers based on populations and land areas of European countries.

We have been using our map skills to explore, identify and label European countries.
