This week we made crystals. We used copper sulphate powder and diluted it in warm water. We kept adding more powder until we had a saturated solution - no other powder could be dissolved, it just lay in the bottom of the beaker. We then filtered the solution. Next we heated the water using a bunsen burners. When it had started to boil we removed it from the heat. We tied a piece of thread around a small crystal. This was ourseed crystal. We let the seed crystal dangle into our water solution and hopefully a blue crystal will grow!
