There is currently a high level of interest in Gaelic in the school.   Mr Hendron is responsible for the Gaelic Club, which is open to boys and girls in Years 3 - 7 on Monday afternoons.  The club for Year 3 is taken by Paul Carvill from the local Tir na nog Club and runs from 2 - 3pm. Years 4 - 7 pupils have their club from 3 - 4pm.

For the last few years Ballyoran has entered a 9 a-side team for competitions associated with the North Armagh League. There are four teams in our group and each team is responsible for hosting a Blitz where the emphasis is as much on fun and enjoyment as it is on winning.

At grassroots level, the school has benefited greatly with the help of officers with the County Board. They work mainly with Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 pupils on the basic skills of Gaelic Football as well as general fitness training.
