School Attends Launch of SPACE Project
Ballyoran Primary School was invited along with other local Primary Schools to attend the Official launch of the £5.5 million redevelopment of Portadown Park which is being called the SPACE Project. Three pupils and two staff attended this event on Wednesday 24th April 2013 in the Park. Pupils were taken on a Bug Hunt by staff from Oxford Island, this was followed by a photocall and lunch in the Town Hall. Work is due to begin on the Park in January 2014 with a completion date of June 2015. We are very excited about the prospect of a much improved park on our doorstep which we intend to make full use of.
