Numeracy: We can find and recognise 2D shapes in our playground and record how many we find using a tally mark! Well done Year 2! Super recording!
We celebrated European Day of Languages by learning how to say ‘hello’ in different languages and eating French croissants! 🥐 Yummy!
Literacy: What wonderful writing in Year 2! We remembered our capital letters, finger spaces and full stops!
WAU: Learning about Transport around the world!
Numeracy: We can make 2D shapes and talk about how many sides and corners they have. Some of us even made a pentagon!! Wow!
Numeracy: We can sort 2D shapes.
Morning Tubs: Year 2 are having so much fun each morning exploring their morning tub activities! Look at all the exciting challenges in this weeks tubs!
WAU: We have been learning about Transport. We can sort different modes of transport into air, land and water.
Year 2 were very busy in the sun today weeding and picking strawberries in the allotment and digging and planting in the digging area!
Numeracy: We had fun using our number shapes to find four numbers in a row, thread the correct beads to match the numicon shape and build a numicon number line.
Literacy: We are reading the story ‘Mrs Armitage on Wheels’ this week. We showed terrific teamwork to build a human sentence about each item Mrs Armitage thought she might need to add to her bike.
PE: We had lots of fun learning new PE skills and playing games with Healthy Kidz!
Literacy: Playing splat the word with our High Frequency Words of the week!
Numeracy: We ordered numbers from 11 to 20 and made them into number necklaces!
Numeracy: This week we are learning to sequence a set of numbers within 20.
Numeracy: We can write numerals to 20 and work out the number before and after.
Numeracy: We can order and recognise numbers from 1 to 20.
Having fun in Outdoor Play!
Play Based Learning: We had so much fun exploring all our different play areas in Year 2. We especially enjoyed visiting the airport and jetting off on our holidays!
Literacy: We can form all of our letter sounds correctly.
