Year 1/2 have been enjoying their outdoor play in the sunshine.
After reading the story of Jasper's Beanstalk, we decided to plant our own beans. We carefully put our soil in the pots then planted our beans. We watered them and have been checking in on them each day. We can't wait to look for giants - if our beanstalks grow tall enough!!
On Friday 26th April we went to the Gaelic Blitz Fun Day. We had lots of fun, got to learn new skills and got to make friends from other schools too . Thank you to the coaches for a great morning!
Thank you to some helpers in Year 1 and 2, who have worked hard with Mrs Glavin to plant potatoes in our garden. We can't wait to try them!
We have been learning all about the Gruffalo in our class. We were so surprised when we received a letter from the Mouse, inviting us to a Gruffalo Party! He asked us if we could make Gruffalo Crumble! We had lots of fun making our crumble and getting to eat it too, along with some poisonous warts and roasted fox!!
On Friday 22nd March, we had a Funky Hair Day in school. Amelia from Year 6 got her hair cut in assembly for the Little Princess Trust, which we were raising money for! Year 1/2 were so creative with their different hairstyles!
On Thursday we planted trees around our school. We had lots of fun digging and finding the best spots for our trees to grow!
Thursday 7th March was World Book Day! We had so much fun. We started our day with a special assembly then we had our World Book Day Parade outside. P7 children even came to read with us too!
Take a look at Year 1 showing us their excellent counting skills. They were making towers to show the numbers 1 to 10.
Year 2 have been working so hard on their spellings this term. Jack was able to write his spellings out so many times! Well done Jack, you are working so hard!
For Safer Internet Day, we joined up with Mrs McConville's class to create our own avatars on Just2Easy. Using an avatar instead of your real picture is a great way to stay safe online. We had so much fun working with our friends in Year 2/3!
