  • National Poetry Day

    Maura Johnston is a professional poet. Key Stage 2 pupils worked with her on National Poetry Day. Maura read poems to us and we had a really good time. She helped us to think and write poems like poets. We are working on poems based on the theme ‘Home’.  Our poems may be displayed at a Poetry Reading Evening in November at the Navan Centre.

  • P4 Step Out With Skooter for Road Safety Walk

    On Monday 8th November, P4 pupils participated in a follow up Practical Child Pedestrian Training Scheme for Road Safety which they began participating in last year in P3. Organised by the D.O.E. Road Safety Education Officer Service in association with Ballyoran Primary School, the pupils enjoyed an informative pedestrian walk along the Garvaghy Road to develop their awareness and understanding of their road environment, develop pedestrian skills whilst learning about observing dangers and how to cross the road safely.
