Second Green Flag Awarded
Thu 30 Jun 2016On Friday 24th June we were awarded our second Green Flag from Eco-Schools. Throughout the year the Eco Committee met with Miss McGibbon to prepare for the assessment. The children were responsible for talking to the whole school during assemblies, informing their classes of our main topics and maintaining the eco garden. Our Eco Committee care deeply about environmental issues and wish to make a positive change in the environment around them. The Eco-Schools programme provides an ideal way for fostering environmental awareness in the entire school in a way that links to many curriculum subjects. We are very proud of our new achievement.

Prize Day 2016
Fri 17 Jun 2016Friday 17th June 2016 was our Annual Prize Day; which is now a very important event in our School Calendar. The Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1 Prize Giving was first at 9.15am. After refreshments, came the Key Stage 2 Prize Giving. Mrs Tedford was Special Guest at both ceremonies. Every pupil in the school received an award and all are to be congratulated on their successes and achievements. A list of the main Award Winners has been included in this News Sheet.

Our Sports Day
Wed 08 Jun 2016On Wednesday 8th June the pupils at Ballyoran Primary took part in Sports Day. The weather held up and turned out to be a great day. The children had a wonderful day and had said they really enjoyed themselves.
