Twenty-two Year 7 pupils were confirmed by Bishop Clifford at a service in St. John The Baptist Church on Sunday 10th April 2011.  This was a joint service with St. John The Baptist PS and Presentation PS and the church was filled to capacity with family and friends.  Well done to all our pupils who made their Confirmation, they were a credit to Ballyoran Primary School.

Ballyoran Primary School is supporting Barnardos as one of its main Charity Fundraisers for this year.  Pupils are being asked to collect money to sponsor  Mr Hendron who will be running as part of a Relay Team in the Belfast Marathon on Monday 2nd May 2011.

 

Pupils are also taking part in the Barnardo's 'Egg-citing' Challenge for which they have to bring a hard boiled egg into school on Monday 11th April 2011.  They then have to decorate it, give it a name and look after it.

The Charity Fundraiser was launched in assembly on Friday 8th April 2011 when Maureen Hill from Barnados did a presentation.

 

We ask that pupils do not collect money door to door, but within their own family and friends only.  All sponsorship money and green forms should be returned to school in the envelope provided by Wednesday 20th April 2011.  A special Presentation Assembly will take place in early June to present a cheque to Barnados.
